Bon Parfumeur Eau de Parfum 902: armagnac, blond tobacco and cinnamon, 30 mL

Sale price$79.99

902 opens on fresh and zesty notes lent by orange, basil and ginger. Then in its heart, the intoxicating spicy heat of a cinnamon and clove duo takes us toward a more narcotic base. With odors of dried tobacco-scented leaves and the aromas of armagnac, the richness and intensity of this fragrance is fully revealed, giving way to a daring trail.

What is armagnac?

The aromas of armagnac naturally vary as it ages. It’s almost the same as with fragrances. Before our perfumes can be put on the market, the concentrates (the ingredients only, without the alcohol) are left to “mature”. This means that we give the raw materials the time to interact and come together. The next step is “maceration”. Alcohol is added and a “juice” is obtained. Time must also be allowed for the mixture to harmonize. Standing the test of time, the aromatic richness of armagnac is revealed; the ardor and floral freshness of its youth are slowly erased to yield more exotic, botanical, candied and spicy notes. It is impossible to give a single description of its scent as every armagnac differs according to its age and the way in which it has been worked.

What does blond tobacco smell like?

The absolute is obtained from Virginia tobacco using volatile solvent extraction. It unveils a warm, honeyed, sweet and aromatic scent. This pure tobacco note is used to construct the blond tobacco accord with its woody and honeyed accents. It is completely different to the scent of stale smoke. It gives creations incomparable elegance and richness. It calls to mind Caron’s Tabac Blond, an iconic fragrance that encouraged the empowerment of women from 1919. It was dedicated to women who smoked cigarettes.

How to recognize cinnamon ?

The inner bark of the Ceylon cinnamon tree is dried and distilled to obtain the essential oil. Warm, woody, powdery and vanilla-like, this refined and intoxicating essence is spellbinding. It reminds us of the delicious scent of gingerbread at Christmas. It asserts the personality of fragrances and strengthens their character. Cinnamon is the most ancient of all spices. It was used in China in 2000 BC.
